Welcome...
Welcome. I'm Rachel Fall, a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) serving children, teens, and adults in the San Gabriel Valley and nearby regions. I lead "Assessments for Learning," a private practice that offers psycho-educational evaluations, counseling, and consultation services focused on academic development and workplace effectiveness.
When a child faces significant difficulties at school, it can create a stressful and unpredictable situation for the entire family. For the child, it may lead to self-doubt regarding their capabilities, a reduction in motivation to learn, and a negative perception of self. Parents may feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and unsure of where to seek help. We can assist by evaluating the reasons behind your child's academic challenges, identify their unique strengths, then offer individualized strategies and recommendations to help with active learning and academic growth.
Adults, too, can experience challenges with learning and processing that disrupt their job performance and relationships. They may have never received clarity about their unique circumstances. We can provide assessments that evaluate their learning strengths and challenges, and potentially help guide them towards career paths or on-the-job strategies that align with their distinct learning styles.
Besides assessment, our practice also provides counseling and consultation services that can help individuals to thrive within the school or work environment.
As a parent and educator, I understand that there may be a great deal of emotion and anxiety that brought you here today. I am dedicated to working with you in partnership as we seek answers and strategies together.
On a personal note, I am a mother of two children who are now college age and beyond. I live with my husband and family in the San Gabriel Valley. In my free time I pray, write, read lots of books (mainly history) and enjoy spending time with family and friends. After working as a school psychologist for over 30 years, I am excited to be in private practice where I can dedicate more focused time on the people and families who cross my path.
